I bought this Plaid Biker jacket from a really cool vintage store on the Lower East Side of New York City off Ludlow Street. They use to sell a mixture of new and vintage clothing, the curator use to be a fashion editor for a fashion magazine there. It is manufactured in Romania and the label says a brand Utex, which I researched and they seem to make down jackets.
There is another label inside with the brand name B Altman & Co 'The Young Colony Shop'.
I think it might be from the 70s, it has a heart button on the hem of the jacket.
The sizing says 7/8 (and was bought in the USA), which is a size 12 in the UK, but it seems a little small for that.
Back length 58 cms.
Chest underarm 96 cm
Hem circumference 90 cms
Sleeve length from top shoulder 56 cm
Underarm seam 41 cm.
The inside lining at the sleeve needs stitching back together on both sides. The lining has some hemp in it, how cool is that? Hemp use to be used for uniforms in the Second World War. #Sustainable #Vintage
